Equipment
A cricket player needs a jersey, often an
additional sweater and long trousers. The shoes are white and
usually have a particular profile, even shoes for Bowler
Spikes. In test match is white clothing is required; in One-Day
Cricket, at least among professionals, almost always in
colorful clothing played the game, previously often referred to
as "pajama cricket" sneer.
Each batsman has, of course, a club and
takes protective equipment. The most important piece of
protective clothing are certainly the pads to his legs before a
huge force to protect the ball incident.
Additionally should the batsman a helmet and
gloves, and a so-called box, a lower protection. Some players
also wear more protection for the arms or even a breast
protection under the shirt.
The field team is wearing only the Wicket
Keeper, who is always behind the batsman and Wicket is a
special equipment. As the batsman, he also has a (usually
smaller) leg protection (Wicket Keeping Pads) and he is the
only player of the field team, the Fanghandschuhe (Wicket
Keeping Gloves) can bear.
The two referees wear a long white gown.
They enjoy great respect and it is considered very
unsportsmanlike, the decision of an arbitrator to criticize or
even to start discussions with him.
